It's 4:40 in the morning, and a sudden epiphany startled me into full wakefulness. I figure I may as well write it down before I forget it.
I figured out why medieval women curtsied instead of bowed.
It was to keep their boobs from falling out of their dresses.

I think that there must be a large dose of truth in that statement. Funny.
Is that why men kiss the women's hands too? So that they could get a closer look? And is that why women would hold their hands out as far away as possible? So that the men couldn't get as close as they wanted?
